No time for a heartfelt post. It's canning season. 'Nuf said.
But this must be recorded. Many of you were a witness to my stress last year about Kate's social life (Forget scholastics. I've got a laser-like focus on the things that really matter. Friends, Shoes, and Hair.). I happily report that she has made several new friends this year.
One of them is named Maegan. She is a doll. She called last week while Kate was at gymnastics and only said, "This is Maegan. Tell Kate she is playing at my house on Thursday." Click. A few phone calls later (Thank goodness for caller ID...) their first playdate was set up. They have had so much fun, she lives just up the hill from us, her mom is completely nice. It is a match made in heaven.
I'm really thankful.

Elise is bringing home a friend today, a first playdate with this girl. She was one that had some undesirable behavior in the classroom last year, so I am curious to see why they are such fast friends this year. It isn't Pieper.
Yay for Kate! We need to set up a playdate soon.
