Aargh. These pictures are hopelessly out of order.
Another amazing part of September was that we were able to attend two sealings for families we dearly love- the Murray's to their new daughter Lou, and my brother and sister-in-law's. They were great days all around.
| Sealing Day was an extra big day for the Judd-Murray clan. Lachlan was baptized and confirmed, then Louisa was blessed, and THEN they were sealed together at the Logan Temple. |
I remember dreaming with Rose in college about what our future families were going to be like. I'm pretty sure I predicted a whole bunch of boys for myself, and I'm also pretty sure she NEVER predicted she'd wind up with a family that was 3/5 Chinese. Yet, somehow it seems to be exactly right.
I will mention one thing that ISN'T exactly right and HASN'T been exactly right for a long time- our house. It has this awful tan siding and a sinking front porch, and we have hated it since the day we moved in. Since our many achievements in life have yet to include "unlimited income," this was a project that waited...and waited...and waited. At long last, though, we have found room in the budget for a facelift. This picture is in the early stages of the demolition. Stupidly, I didn't take a before picture, but I promise, it was worse looking than this photo.
This was the day John, Lindsay, Preston, and Theo were sealed. I had been lucky to attend his endowment the week earlier, then Liza, my Uncle Bill, and Aunt Arlys all made it to the sealing. It was a happy day, and even happier for them. My sweet nephew cried through the whole thing and my heart was touched.
Grandpa Jack came to the afterparty.
And here we are back in Logan...Between the baptism/confirmation/blessing and the sealing, we had lunch in Logan and shopped along Main Street. Does everyone's college town hold as much sentiment for them as Logan does for me? It made me happy just to be there.
These two girls delight me in every way. Even though one second they are loving on each other and the next second they are at each other's throats, there is enough good to far outweigh the bad. I think they had a fun day that day.
September turned out to be a very spiritual month- which was good because I think I sinned a lot in October.
