Belated Post #3: The First Grade Program

The whole first grade at Kate's elementary school puts on a program.

This year it was about America. Kate, to put it mildly, was less than thrilled about the whole thing.

She indulged me with a picture beforehand. Just one. So tough luck that my shadow is totally in it.

I know this is blurry, but I think you should still be able to pick out my kid.

Look for the one giving the stink-eye. Yep, that's just the first grade on stage. Welcome to Utah.
After the program she had a giant GIANT tantrum because:

1)I only let her say good-bye to her teacher TWO times instead of THREE.

2) I wanted a picture of her.

3) I think she was a little sleep-deprived.

4) Her principal had the nerve to give her a balloon because he thought that's why she was crying when really she was crying because of the whole teacher/good-bye situation.

On the bright side, I got this little snapshot:

Wow, Bec. My first grader would never throw a tantrum over something like that. Oh wait, that's right. He totally would. And does.
