Children's Museum

Yesterday we went to the children's museum in Manila with our friends, the Hables.  It definitely gave us a taste of the Filipino culture.
The girls were thrilled with the miniature jeepney.  That's the closest they are ever going to get to one, I guarantee you that.

Kate and Luke in their traditional Filipino dress.

There was a miniature church.  The country is 95% Catholic and that influence is definitely felt.

It was a fun day out.  Afterwards we had lunch at the American Embassy next door.  We are planning an embassy tour later, but I don't think pictures are allowed there.  The girls were thrilled with their "Real American" lunches- hot dogs and onion rings.  I was thrilled that the bathrooms at the Embassy had seats and toilet paper and soap AND paper towels.  Thank you, America!
