Bruce's birthday was on Wednesday. The girls were very excited to participate in the festivities, which were actually quite minimal. We went shopping the day before his birthday, and I told them they could each pick out a card to give him. Kiki immediately picked this one:
"Look! Naked!" she laughed."Butt." More laughter.
"Mama! Naked butt!" Still laughing.
How could I NOT buy it? It is actually a birthday card- the inside said, "Hope you don't get too many cracks about your age." She was so entertained by this card that I had to go into stealth mode to get it away from her so we could give it to Bruce.
We were going to dinner with friends, and by then Bruce had opened the card, so the "Naked" dialogue had started all over again. Bruce asked her which one was daddy, and she pointed to the fatter one. He was a little sad about that. As we left for dinner, Kiki frantically pointed at the card saying, "Bring Naked! Bring Naked!"
I made Bruce a homemade cake this year (coconut, if you're curious). It was a first for me. I usually buy cakes from the store.

Wish we could have been there to celebrate with you, but then Becca would have had to make a much bigger cake. Becca's baking + coconut anything = mmmmmmmm!
I can't believe that a man Bruce's age has children that young. Were you a child bride, Becca?
