Friday I was to be trapped at home with no car. Even though I had no plans, the thought of being unable to go anywhere terrified me (and you can forget going anywhere on foot when it is 100 degrees out). When my friend down the street offered us a ride to the zoo with my other favorite neighborhood moms, I jumped on the chance for a little getaway. Funnily enough, if my car had been parked in the garage, I probably would have happily stayed home all day. Then, as if getting me to the zoo wasn't enough of a gift, my friend informed me that her zoo membership allowed for 2 free guests, so I didn't even have to pay.

About your race time? No worries. I haven't ran in weeks and I doubt I could even pull off a 5k at this point. I am craving the wind in my hair! Maybe Bruce has been secretly training at the office...
I too share your fear of being carless. Wes will take the van for two hours to transport kids on mutual night and I panic. Of course I am never out at bedtime with my kids on any of the other six nights of the week, but still I want to know the option is there.
Isn't the zoo fun. (in wardly I am torn for the animals) We should meet in the middle one day.
