Dr. Kevor-Kiki-an

A baby magpie fell out of its nest and landed in the grass. I kindly told Kate and Elise that its chances for survival were small.

Nevertheless, they immediately began to strategize:
"Let's build it a nest out of grass!"
"I'm going to feed it bread crumbs and worms!"

Kiki came outside, calmly surveyed the scene and said,
"I'll go get my rope."

You forgot to mention the part where the neighbor girls stuffed it full of sunflower seeds and then wondered why they were still stuck in its mouth an hour later...

That was a good laugh but if you had been here, Tiffany and James would have driven it all the way across town to a woman who has many fallen baby birds she is keeping alive 24/7. What dedication to nature. They did that with a bird Tiffany found in their yard last season.
Now their anxious for their own baby to fall out of the nest.
