Kate Turns 6

Aunt Angie made her an awesome Barbie cake according to Kate's specifications. (Kiki has already put in her order for her birthday.) All of Kate's aunts should know that on the way home from getting the cake Kate said, "Aunt Angie is my favorite aunt. And Tiffany. Yep, Angie and Tiffany are my favorites." The rest of you need to be making grand gestures.

Kate really surprised me this morning by saying that she didn't want to open her presents yet, she wanted to wait until after school and open them with her friends. I can never delay opening a present. I don't know where this character flaw (hers) came from.

Fortunately, the friends (Whitney and Kaisa) were ready to par-ty.

We ate pizza, then went to Kangaroo Zoo, then had cake and ice cream, then FINALLY opened presents.

Happy Birthday, Katie-Kay. We love you.
