More of Our December To Remember

We spent the time between Christmas and New Year's bonding with Bruce's family.
There were a lot of dogs.

We had lots of fun though.

We spent New Year's Eve with Bruce's mom and dad. It was a farewell of sorts, since Bruce's parents have purchased a new home and will be moving soon.

The drive home was uneventful, which was good news after all the terrible weather we've been experiencing. The girls started off with ear-splitting bickering, but I told them, "You two are not allowed to say a sentence that begins with the others' name!" That rule bought me about 10 minutes of silence before they started in with, "MOM, Kiki is backwashing!" and "MOM, Kate won't share!" I don't understand why they never call on Bruce to solve these affairs. Also, I love the word "Mom" as long as it's only one syllable. As soon as some whiner drags it out to 2 or 3 syllables I just want to hurt someone.
We came home Saturday night, just in time for me to minimally prepare for church. The first Sunday of the year is pretty much a nightmare for any Primary President, but things seemed to go okay. Yesterday was our first day back to reality, and it went a little rough.
Kiki summed it up in her nightly prayers:
"Heavenly Father: Today was a LOOOOONG day. Amen."

I'm glad you made it back safely and survived the first week of primary. Perhaps a Spring visit may be in order to enjoy the perfect weather we have had since you left. Thanks for making the trip. We always love to see you guys!

I'm so glad you guys had a good trip. I love catching up on your life via blog. Of course I wish I could be there in person, but your writing sums up perfectly what is going on in your life. Love it.

Also, I love the pix of Bruce and the girls in the desert where he grew up. How cool for them. Also, I love that you love your inlaws. Seriously lucky. xxoo

Looks like a wonderful Christmas! Every December I am so thankful I am no longer Primary President. It really puts a damper on Christmas break.
