Jig-Pup and Balut

Last night we went to the Greenbelt Mall.  There are so many malls that I am having a hard time keeping them straight.  This one had some handsome oxen and a Catholic Church in a man made pond (that's what's in the background).  It was quite the juxtaposition, but it's clearly working since the church was packed on a Friday night.
Bruce decided to try a local delicacy: Balut.  Balut is a fertilized duck embryo that is boiled alive then eaten.  You can see duck parts, like the beak.  I think Kate's face says it all.  Bruce offered the girls ten dollars to try it, but they wisely declined.

After dinner we went to an arcade.  Arcade games are a steal here: most are 6 or 12 pesos which is about ten cents or a quarter.  The girls loved Jig-Pup.  It's basically "Whack-A-Mole" but instead of moles you whack PUPPIES.  I'm trying not to judge, but that seems a little wrong to whack a puppy.

Except for this one...he had it coming.

And you think it's humane to whack moles? Sheesh! ;D BTW, your pics aren't coming through. Not sure why... Maybe they are for someone else and it's just my browser?

Humane to eat embryos but not to whack dogs? I whack my dog all the time.

That came out wrong

I would whack a dog that looked that ugly, too. And aren't dogs on the menu there anyway?
