Death By Chocolate

My attempts at weight loss have been SERIOUSLY sidelined. Although released from my Enrichment calling, there's no replacement for me yet, and I adore my two teaching partners. So, I'm still teaching our class with them this Thursday night. And of course the class is about chocolate- how could it not be when it's scheduled two days prior to Valentine's? This week has been consumed by chocolate creme brulee, ganache, truffles, hot fudge, chocolate cake, and more as I've practiced and prepared. And of course I can't resist it, because, not to brag, I'm a dang good cook and it is all delicious.

I'll sabotage YOUR diet now as well, and share an easy and delicious recipe I got from my sister-in-law Cheryl:

Hot Fudge: combine in a saucepan: 1 12 oz can evaporated milk, 1 stick butter, 2 cups sugar, 1 cup cocoa. Heat to boiling, boil 2 minutes. Add a splash of vanilla, serve over ice cream. Keeps well in the fridge and reheats great.

Enjoy it! And then have a punishing workout full of self hatred. It's totally working for me.

Hi Becca! I just read your entire blog after reading Janet's entire blog. That says a lot since I usually avoid reading blogs. (Guilt, comparison, no time, etc.)
I have to say I loved them both and laughed to find Maddie in there. I will never think of Donkey Doodle the same way you cute primary president you. Thanks to Kate and yourself for the hot fudge. My response to that is somewhat like Kate watching the ice skater. I saw your beautifully presented fudge and card and thought, "I could do that." (In my domestic alter-reality dreams.)Thanks for making my day!
