Twinny Twin Twinners

Charlie was scheduled for a tonsillectomy yesterday morning, so Jack, the girls, and I went to Pocatello to lend a hand (or so we thought. Turns out our presence, while hopefully enjoyable, was completely unnecessary.).

But I did get to spend time with my cute little niece, Whitney.

Why is it funny to put things on babies' heads? I don't know the answer; I just know that it is.

Charlie's strategy for recovery involved a new shotgun and 100 popsicles. He came through the surgery like a champ.

Kate carefully planned her wardrobe two days before our departure so that she and Elise could wear twin outfits the whole entire time. Conveniently, she lost a tooth the day we left, which resulted in...

...matching smiles.

Grandpa tries to match smiles, too.

Later, he did a Micheal Jackson impression.

Liza and I spent the early morning hours today on a distance run. I broke out my new hydration belt for its virgin voyage. Liza is a fast runner- I think I held her back a little, but she didn't ditch me, which was awfully kind of her.

Some people think we look alike, too.
Our squints match, anyway.

How fun for Kate .... and Jack-what a jokester. Whitney is beautiful and Charlie looks well able to protect the girls as they get to the dating age.

Yes, you Barratt girls look alike-gorgeous.

Liza-I do have to hate you a little for looking awesome so soon after having a baby, it's just plain rude.

It's true - I've got the cutest cousins. And yes, you two do like alike!

There's nothing better than being twinners with your favorite cousin. . .or sister for that matter. Sounds like you had a good time!
