Something I love about here:
The prevailing attitude is that Christmas is about Christ and that people should just accept that and not get all sensitive if they don't happen to agree. Nativities are EVERYWHERE- in front of banks, around businesses of all kinds, and on city property. I love seeing all the different nativities. For that reason, when Fort Bo starting putting in a very large nativity just up the street, I was pretty excited to have one so close to home, and we have been following its progress carefully. It was finished this week, and we walked up for a better look. And did it ever deserve one!

| "...and she brought forth her first born son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and then her husband said, 'While you are doing all this wrapping and swaddling, I could really use a pair of pants with matching slippers.'" |
 |
| "The angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them, and the glory of the Lord shining was almost as shiny as the trombones that the angels had taken up." |
 |
| "And the angel said unto them, 'Fear not: I've had years of accordion lessons and this is not going to be as bad as you think it might be based on my appearance. That said, I bring tidings of great joy, but not so great that I might smile in a way that shows my angel teeth, but more like joy that causeth me to smirk in a private-smile kind of way.'" |
 |
"Behold, there came wise men from the east."
One was from the far FAR east because I think that is Genghis Khan, and the other one looks like he came out of a bottle. |
And my personal favorite among the Three Wise Men:
 |
"And when they opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts: gold, frankincense, and...
the myrrh had gone missing and had, somewhat oddly, been replaced with a leopard print robe, a shiny scepter, a slave boy, and 6 back issues of Town and Country." |

Love it!
So I really went to the best nativity ever...last night. Next year when you are back, you have to bring the girls to Sugar House. Several churches partner up in the area to present a live nativity complete with a camel, sheep and a itsy bitsy, very much real baby Jesus. It was fun! Love your interpretation of the Christmas story Filipino style ;).
