We have been thoroughly enjoying ourselves out of doors the past few days. Of course there were my Memorial Day races, but we have been busy with other things as well.
We made s'mores with our friends, Wes, Janet, and kids. We ditched the graham cracker/chocolate combination and instead smooshed our roasted marshmallows between two fudge stripes cookies. Bliss.
This morning was Kate's preschool party at the Children's Garden at Thanksgiving Point.
They were so happy to be playing in the water.
Summertime visitors: We are totally going here when you come this summer.
Lastly, I must memorialize some of the delicious food I ate this weekend: carne asada, tres leches cake, Polish dogs from Smith Brother's, the first corn and watermelon of the season, the aforementioned smores, Mi Ranchito (our weekend tradition), and skillet mac-n-cheese. Check out my new link to My Kitchen Cafe for the recipe for that last one- one pan homemade mac and cheese and it is delicious. It's too bad I was running 5k's, because I was fueling up for Ironmans.

Looks like fun! I especially like the picture with the kids on the rock with the *NO Kids on Rock* sign directly behind them.
