They let you do what?

Today I subbed at pre-school. I know, I know, not the most logical sounding thing. Kate's teacher had a flight out at 1:30, so I just took the last hour or so- story time, recess, and walking a few kids home. It went well, but I will say that it's because Miss J. does such a good job with the kids that anyone could show up and keep them in line. It was actually kind of fun. I brought Kiki, and during recess she discovered the slippery slide- I would put her at the top and let her go, and she would laugh the whole way down, then point at the top and scream, and we would go all over again. Also, "H" (see previous entries...) told me, "On Monday, my mom was so stressed out she drove through the garage door."
Grandpa Jack came and watched the girls while I escaped out to lunch with my friend Lisa, who is easily one of the funniest people you will ever meet in your life. It was so nice to just relax and eat a peaceful meal and enjoy a friend. I should really do that more often. When I came home, the girls and Jack were playing outside. They had swung on the swings, and played in the playhouse, and Kate was convinced it was summer and had stripped down to her tank top. It's going to make her so sad when the snow comes back this weekend.
I am totally addicted to American Idol. I even downloaded David Archuleta's song off of Itunes. Go ahead, judge me. I get so aggravated when my viewing is disturbed. I hope someone else out there is an AI nerd like me.

I haven't watched any of the episodes this week, but they have been recorded so I am planning to catch up tonight. (one of those nights was dedicated to stain removal). Oh, and I got some of the Rejuvenate from the Home Depot--I'm also going to try to bring my wood floor back from zi dead.
P.S. I don't know if I will love this season of AI until Rocker girl, sold my horse girl, and dreadlock man are on the bus headed for home. AND Simon is always right--it really bugs me that people boo his opinions (are they deaf??)
