When I Have Kids I Will Never Let Them...

Just admit it. Before you had kids, you totally said that exact phrase followed by one of the following:

...act like that.
...wear that.
...say that.
...do that.

I did it. I would see mismatched kids and think, "Who let's their kid go out like that?" But, karma always get you in the end. Here is Kate, just moments ago, heading off to preschool looking like an extra for a Cyndi Lauper video.

You can't tell in the photo, but her headband is shiny purple metallic, and her piggy tail holder is hot pink. But you know what? She got herself dressed and she thinks she looks great! And I do too. Some things just aren't worth the battle, and to every mother I ever silently judged, I get it now, and I am so sorry I did that.
